Martial Arts is a term to describe a broad range of styles. Martial arts schools can specialize in a singular style or can teach a mixed style that incorporates elements from multiple styles.
The 3 main styles that you may hear about are:
• Karate: Covers hand techniques only
• Taekwondo: Covers hand and foot techniques
• Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (BJJ): Covers groundwork, grappling and close contact self-defense
Here at MPAMA, we teach mixed martial arts. Our primary styles include taekwondo-based forms and MMA-style sparring. Elements of Judo, BJJ, Muay Thai & Karate are also incorporated within our programs. In addition to martial arts, our school specializes in character development & personal growth! Our goal is to see your family succeed in all areas of their life – not just in the martial arts!
MPAMA employs a team of 20+ instructors who are all trained to teach small and large group classes. All instructors have gone through MPAMA’s programs themselves & train weekly, ensuring that they’re bringing your family the BEST content during classes!

We offer walk-in classes for all programs! Once enrolled, you can walk to any class that is suited for your belt level. Our office team would be happy to explain how to access our class schedule so you can plan your classes!
As we do a rolling admission for our programs, students can start our program at any time during the year. With that in mind, while our classes are group-based, the students are broken into groups based on the # of classes they have attended. We keep track of our attendance with stripes that the children earn on their belts. Rest assured – your child will be well taken care of in class!
We do not charge belt testing fees. At MPAMA, we believe that our children should earn their belts through curriculum proficiency & home/school positive behavior.
As a school specialized in personal growth, our goal is to help your child ease their way into group based classes. Our team caters each class towards the students in the group, ensuring that each student feels comfortable and safe, leading to growth in self-confidence!
