Fortunately for our students, our classes are jam-packed with opportunities to practice being proactive! Our class environment encourages kids to utilize all three aforementioned applications of proactivity. Students can practice taking initiative by being leaders in class; moving fast, counting loud, and inspiring others to work hard. Responsibility is important while on the floor to make sure that students are working hard, and staying focused on their goals. Finally, students must use their adaptability and resilience to face and overcome challenges during drills and group work, and to improve as a direct result. These are just a few different ways that kids can be proactive in class, but there are many more opportunities for children to practice these skills on and off the mats!
